Auto Sample Rate Match is an experimental Pro feature that can update the selected macOS output rate when your output device exposes a compatible sample rate.
When Audex Trace may use the network.
License verification may contact Audex services. License verification includes a randomly generated, hashed device identifier (no hardware serials, no personal information) used to count how many Macs a license is activated on.
Purchase checkout uses the Audex checkout redirect service.
Update checks use Audex Trace's public update feed.
Artwork fallback may send track, artist, or album search terms to the iTunes Search API when local artwork sources miss.
The website and checkout service may record source/ref/UTM parameters, anonymous browser and session IDs, release version, landing page, referrer host, coarse country, optional salted IP hash, User-Agent class, burst duplicate flag, and Stripe Checkout session ID for download and purchase conversion counts.
Before Pro activation, the app may send minimal anonymous events such as app launch, Playback Verification progress, Pro screen views, and checkout clicks. These events include an anonymous install ID, a per-launch session ID, app version/build, coarse server-side country, an optional salted IP hash (the raw IP address is not stored), and limited status labels such as Music not running or Automation access denied. They do not include listening history, track details, audio data, device names, license keys, or email addresses. This can be disabled in Settings and stops after Pro activation.
